UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN INFUSA DAN EKSTRAK n-ETIL ASETAT DAUN SENDOK (Plantago major L) DENGAN METODE HIDROGEN PEROKSIDA
No: 333 Hidrogen peroxide in the human body penetrates into the cell and reacts with Ferro metal to form hydroxyl radicals resulting DNA damage and , Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease. The presence of phenolic substances of hydrogen peroxide is converted to a more neutral compound of water. Spoon leaves are important medicinal plants that have phenolic active substances. Pursuant to that matter further research is aimed to test antioxidant activity of water extract and spoon leaf extract to radical of H2O2 and compare activity of hydrogen peroxide inhibitory power with ascorbic acid as positive control and phytochemical test. The content of the spoon leaf infusa compound and the ethyl acetate extract is phenolic. Spoon leaves are extracted by infusa and maceration with ethyl acetate solvent. Inhibitory to hydrogen peroxide activity showed that infusa and ethyl acetate extract inhibited hydrogen peroxide activity 177,79 ppm and 329,33 ppm, the strongest IC50 from both samples were infusa.
